Title I of the ADA requires employers to make reasonable accommodations to the known physical or mental impairments of a qualified individual with a disability (QID).
In 2006, the EEOC received 15,575 charges of discrimination filed under the ADA. Employers and employees alike have questions about determining if someone is a QID and if so, what accommodations are reasonable.
This program provides an overview of the ADA including who is covered and the requirements of the law. Further, it helps participants define reasonable accommodation. Participants will use case studies that will help them apply ADA concepts.
