Deborah Stallings, PHR, President and Chief Executive Officer of HR Anew was elected to serve as a Director on the national board of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO).
HR Anew and Ms. Stallings received several awards including:

HR Anew launched its online store and web based/elearning training programs.

HR Anew moved into commercial office space in Columbia, MD.
The company was awarded a contract by Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority.
HR Anew received the Local Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (LDBE) certification from the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority.
The company and Deborah Stallings received several awards including the Maryland Top 100 Minority Business Enterprise (The Daily Record and the Governor’s Office of Minority Affairs); and the Maryland Top 100 Small Businesses and Maryland Top 50 8a Firms (DiversityBusiness.com).

HR Anew was awarded its first state contract by the Maryland Transportation Authority.
The company was selected by numerous businesses and agencies including the National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health to provide a variety of outsourcing services with multiple year contracts.

HR Anew received the 8a and Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) certifications from the U.S. Small Business Administration; and the Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) certification by the State of Maryland.
The company was awarded its first government contracts by NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and Andrews Air Force Base.

HR Anew moved to Ms. Stallings’ new single-family home where the work space could accommodate up to six employees. Clients expanded to include technology companies and government contractors.
HR Anew hires the company’s first full time employee.

|
HR Anew was founded by Deborah Stallings, PHR, in her three bedroom apartment. Personal savings of less than a few thousand dollars were used as start up capital. Initially, clients included Suburban Hospital, Gladys Spellman Hospital and Nursing Center, Laurel Regional Hospital, and past employers Doctors Community Hospital and Prince George’s Hospital Center. Ms. Stallings was the sole employee for the first year.
